Dynamic Analysis and Parameter Optimization of the Cutting System for Castor Harvester Picking Devices

Our study aimed to identify a design which would reduce cutting resistance during the harvesting of castor. This paper presents theoretical wave-type disc cutter, plays an important role in castor harvesting. Based on SPH–FEM coupling algorithm, combined orthogonal rotation experiment was performed effects cutter thickness, edge angle, speed, and feeding speed maximum force. The response surface method used achieve optimal combination all test factors. Mathematical modeling force influencing factors utilized obtain parameters for system consisting cutters. results were obtained with computer-simulated 844.2–942.1 r/min, 0.89–1.01 m/s, thickness 2.71–3.15 mm, angle 29.2–33.9°. Under these conditions, less than 50 N. Finally, experimental data numerical computer simulation compared using performance verification. analysis found that largely consistent. Therefore, model judged be effective reasonable.
